This is an addition to a home in a residential area in Malmö. The aim of the extension was primarily to increase the living room space, expand the kitchen and to create more bathroom and recreation space, as well as more space where you can be alone for contemplation.

 

The location of the addition was determined by the fact that there was only very limited space in front of the house and that the lot was long and narrow. So the original building was broadened and also, above all, extended at the back.

 

In the sections that were added, the original building style was to be kept and partially new forms of expression were to be introduced. This was to allow not only accentuation of the original building's qualities but also the more modern, glass concrete parts.
